Open Dyslexic Italic, adapted by Abelardo Gonzalez from Bitstream's work, is a free comic display font with a pronounced forward lean. Its letters shift dramatically between slim upper strokes and broad, weighted bases, creating an intentionally uneven silhouette. The rounded forms feel sturdy and informal.
As a lively editorial voice, it can shape educational posters, children's publishing, friendly app graphics, and community event materials.
