SF Avondale Shaded Italic, designed by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry, is a free shaded slab serif display font with an old-school sporting look. Its broad, sharply slanted capitals combine strong slab serifs with an offset shadow, crisp inner edging, and cutaway details that suggest hand-painted school team signage.

On merchandise, the layered letterforms turn team names and club branding into finished emblem-like graphics rather than ordinary type. The same punch suits event posters and game graphics. For packaging and venue signage, the angled stance and built-in dimensional shading recall vintage athletic lettering painted across old gym walls and equipment cases.
