ScoutLightDB by Christine Mauerkirchner and Rainer Grunert is a free high-contrast serif font with an exceptionally narrow, elegant silhouette, broad rounded forms, crisp bracketed serifs, and sweeping curves set against ruler-straight upright strokes. Its dramatic stroke changes recall refined fashion and magazine typography.

Editorial publishing is its strongest setting: mastheads and cover lines gain distinction from the tall proportions, and the same poised construction suits beauty packaging and boutique branding.
