Antikythera Outline Regular Schriftart

Antikythera Outline, designed in 2012 by Iconian Fonts, is a free Greek-inspired outlined display font with a stark, angular build. Its tall capitals shift between broad slab-like forms and tightly pinched zigzags, with exaggerated peaks and deep notches. Sharp interior cuts and changing stroke widths give the alphabet a carved, mechanical look that feels more futuristic than classical.

Ancient-world and mythic adventure themes are its clearest territory. It suits museum-event posters, game title screens, and album packaging centered on archaeology, mystery, or lost technology. The wedge-shaped openings and broken diagonals can echo engraved maps, bronze mechanisms, and bold geometric illustration.

A title font named after the Antikythera mechanism, which was found off the coast of a Greek island several decades ago. The device was a precise calculation instrument whose engineering was centuries ahead of its time. Historians describe it as the first real computer, and another device with similar functionality and engineering did not appear for several more centuries. Antikythera includes a complete Latin character set.
