Vtks Contrast by Douglas Vitkauskas is a free old-school decorative display font with the eccentric, weather-beaten air of ornate hand-cut antique lettering. Spindly strokes, flared serifs, and warped proportions keep every letter restless.
A theatrical poster is its clearest assignment: the uneven capitals can suggest an old faded sideshow bill, then carry the same odd period flavor into album packaging, event graphics, and merchandise. The exaggerated shapes can also mingle with woodcut illustrations or distressed borders, but their strongest role is in entertainment publishing, where a title needs to look as peculiar and weathered as the story it introduces.
