Urkelian from Typodermic Fonts is a free retro display font with extremely tall, compressed letters and dramatic changes in stroke width. Broad black uprights sit beside hairline-thin curves and crossbars, producing a striped silhouette across a line of type. Rounded arches soften the otherwise severe vertical structure.

Fashion labels, nightclub promotions, and music packaging could use its elongated proportions to suggest a sleek late-20th-century look. In editorial covers or event posters, the lettering can function almost like a repeating architectural pattern, with the same narrow verticals linking stylish branding, performance graphics, and image-led layouts rather than ordinary supporting type.
