TeXGyrePagella-BoldItalic Schriftart

TeXGyrePagella Bold Italic, designed by Valek Filippov of URW++ Design & Development, is a free humanist serif with a broad, calligraphic slant, softly rounded joins, and pronounced thick-thin contrast. Sharply tapered serifs give the letters authority, yet the generous curves keep the forms supple rather than severe. Long entry strokes and descending tails add a measured sweep.

Literary and historical subjects make a convincing setting for book covers, magazine features, museum graphics, and scholarly event programs, since the stately italic forms recall the inscriptions and formal pages of early printed books. On invitations, the lettering can become an engraved flourish.
