Railroad Roman 1916 Ultra-Expanded, designed by E. V. Norat II, is a free ultra-wide retro serif font. Its broad letters combine massive horizontal slabs with sharply changing stroke widths. The result is low, forceful, and unmistakably industrial.

It can turn a title into part of a railroad-era sign. That role suits historical posters, transport exhibits, and heritage branding, where the stretched proportions recall painted depot lettering. The same sturdy silhouette also fits Americana packaging and music merchandise.
