PF Palmtree3, designed by David E. Howerton of Planck Foam Scholarly Dragon Press, is a free tropical display font built around chunky, irregular capitals and recurring palm-tree ornament. Its broad, solid shapes are cut by sharp gaps, with sketchy trunks and fronds threading through the letters. The result feels handmade and theatrical.
It is strongest on beach-party posters, tiki-bar branding, and resort merchandise, where the palms become part of the lettering rather than a separate decoration. Its comic roughness gives these projects a deliberately unruly, hand-cut edge. Album covers and adventure-game graphics offer another convincing home.
