Mirella Script by Iza W and Paulo W of Intellecta Design is a free calligraphic script with the sweep of formal penmanship. Its sharply changing stroke widths, tall looping capitals, and long hairline flourishes give the lettering an ornate, theatrical profile.
As a decorative title treatment, it can turn invitations and event posters into part of the ornament rather than simple labeling. Fashion and fragrance packaging also suit it. Its lavish movement will appeal most to wedding, beauty, and boutique audiences drawn to romantic, highly embellished design.

Mirella Script is based on the classic French Bastarde script style. It includes:
- Ligature forms using the Contextual Alternates OpenType feature.
- Stylistic alternates for uppercase and lowercase letters, accessible through the glyph palette.
- 55 ornaments and fleurons, accessible through the glyph palette or the Ornaments feature.
- Initial and final letters with variations accessible through the Initial Forms and Final Forms OpenType features.
- Manually adjusted kerning pairs for almost 700 glyphs.
It works in applications without OpenType support as a script font. The OpenType features can be accessed in InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and similar software.
Iza W designed the original letters. Paulo W provided the overall creative direction and core programming.
