LICENSE PLATE USA by SpideRaY of SpideRaY is a free outlined 3D display font with compressed stamped-registration proportions. Tall, narrow forms mix rounded corners with abrupt cuts and angular joins. Offset shapes give the open letters layered, slightly misregistered depth.

Automotive brands can use its plate reference for logos, decals, and merchandise. It also fits racing events and road-themed games, echoing vehicle identification marks. In these settings, the lettering can become part of a badge or plate illustration instead of serving as neutral text.

This font is based on four North American font types classified by curve construction and appearance. In the latest version, the lowercase letters and numbers are embossed to resemble actual United States license plates.

This is the typeface used in Universal Music’s release of Lady Gaga’s 2017 album Joanne and all associated media.
