Lassiter Schriftart

Lassiter by Neale Davidson is a free Western display font with massive slab serifs and a show-poster silhouette. Deep notches cut into the thick strokes, giving the letters a carved, ornamental edge. The shapes are broad and emphatic.

Its natural audience is designers working on frontier-themed entertainment, country music, and heritage food branding. On event posters and editorial covers, the exaggerated serifs echo saloon signs and wood-type printing and become part of the period setting.

The font is based on several shop signs from various Colorado ghost towns. It includes lowercase letters, punctuation, numerals, accented characters, the euro symbol, italic, and extended versions.
