Johanna Italic by Adria Gomez is a free modern display font with an exceptionally tall, compressed silhouette and dramatic shifts between hairline curves and broad black strokes. The steep slant, rounded joins, and clipped-looking details give the lettering a sleek but slightly eccentric fashion-magazine character.

High-fashion publishing is its clearest territory, especially for cover lines and dramatic editorial openers, but the same sculptural forms also suit fragrance packaging and music posters. Across these uses, its extreme proportions turn type into graphic pattern.
