Hermes is a free horror display font with heavy, uneven serif letters and a rough, hand-cut silhouette. Bulges, pinched joins, and irregular edges make the lettering resemble old wood type warped into something more sinister.

Horror posters are its clearest setting, since the distorted forms suggest handmade title lettering from a low-budget creature feature. The same worn, lopsided shapes suit haunted-house signage, Halloween packaging, and darkly comic game graphics. In those settings, the letters can become part of the scene itself, resembling carved boards, crooked props, or a weathered shop sign.
