For book covers, the lettering brings the drama of engraved penmanship. The recurring curls and long entry strokes can echo ribbons, ornamental borders, or decorative filigree in those settings.

Bradstone-Parker Script is a calligraphic script font with an enhanced OpenType version that includes:

- Stylistic alternates for uppercase and lowercase letters, accessed through the glyph palette.
- Ornaments and tails (“rasgos”), accessed through the glyph palette using the Ornaments feature.
- Hundreds of contextual alternate ligatures that provide letterform variations.
- More than 4,600 manually adjusted kerning pairs.

In applications without OpenType support, it functions as a script font. The font contains almost 700 glyphs, including alternate letters and combinations. InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and similar software provide access to its OpenType features through the glyph palette, including Contextual Alternates.
