Black Forest Regular Schriftart

Black Forest by Dieter Steffmann of Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free modern blackletter font with a severe, cut-paper silhouette. Broad vertical strokes meet sharp diagonal cuts, giving the letters a compact architectural build. Traditional Gothic forms remain visible beneath the stripped-down geometry.

It is strongest on music posters, where its dense shapes and hard edges suit metal, industrial, or experimental acts. Pointed breaks also give merchandise, game graphics, and beverage packaging a carved, heraldic quality.
