Alt Retro Black by Andreas Leonidou is a free groovy display font with an oversized, soft-edged silhouette. Broad, bulbous letters press closely together, with narrow openings and occasional pinched joins breaking up the dense mass. It feels cheerfully excessive.
A record sleeve and a candy package are very different jobs, yet both benefit from the lettering's rounded 1970s swagger and immediate visual weight. Festival posters, fashion graphics, and music merchandise can push the letters further by surrounding them with ripples, stars, or other period-minded illustration that echoes their swollen curves.
