Academic M54 Schriftart

Academic M54 by Mohammed Rahman is a free collegiate slab serif display font with the force of athletic and military lettering. Its massive capitals use squared slabs, blunt cuts, and sharply notched corners. Narrow interior spaces make the letterforms appear dense and built from solid blocks.

It is most convincing on sports posters, team merchandise, and event branding, where the hard-edged construction suggests uniforms, scoreboards, and institutional insignia. Game graphics and school publishing can also use its regimented forms, but varsity-style titles remain its clearest role.

The uppercase “S” and lowercase “s” have different glyph forms. The left and right curly brackets contain alternate glyphs for the numbers “2” and “5”.
