Palmona Schriftart

Palmona by Ingo Zimmermann of ingoFonts is a free graffiti script shaped by hard wedges, abrupt diagonals, and tightly packed strokes. The lettering has a rough, improvised silhouette, with narrow joints opening into broad black masses and sharply clipped ends. Its uneven widths make each word resemble a cut-paper tag assembled at speed.

Angular illustrations can echo its splintered cuts on posters and album covers. That aggressive street-art character also fits skate merchandise, underground event graphics, and game branding, especially for subjects tied to rebellion, combat, or urban nightlife, where the lettering can become part of the visual scene itself.

PALMONA is a blackletter typeface originating from the 1930s, with stylistic alternates. Its letterforms derive from Fraktur and Gothic. Most letterforms are consistent with familiar modern forms, while some capital letters retain their Fraktur or Gothic origins. The typeface uses only straight lines and sharp corners, without curves.

All fonts from ingoFonts are available for free download. The downloadable files contain only a reduced version with uppercase and lowercase letters from A to Z and a to z.
