HarpersBizarre by M. Klein is a free portrait dingbat font built from spare, hand-drawn faces. The heads use wiry outlines, angular noses, uneven eyes, and abrupt blocks of hair, with a deliberately rough pen-and-ink finish. Each face has its own wary expression.

Editorial illustration is its clearest role, especially for culture magazines, concert posters, and offbeat event graphics that benefit from a cast of eccentric human figures. On merchandise and entertainment artwork, the portraits can function as characters within a larger drawing, extending the same crooked linework into the surrounding imagery.
